Redmi K50 Pro Display Features Confirmed in New Leak: To Come with WQHD Resolution, Gorilla Glass Victus
Redmi is gearing up for the K50 series launch. The company will launch the Redmi K50 series later today in China. At the launch, Xiaomi is expected to launch the K50, K50 Pro and K50 Pro+. The company has been teasing some key specs and features of the upcoming Redmi flagships. Hours before the launch, Xiaomi has dropped a new teaser that reveals the display features of the Redmi K50 Pro models.
The new teaser reiterates some of the previously confirmed features but also reveals some new details. Let’s take a look at the Redmi K50 Pro specifications, features and other details.
Redmi K50 Pro Specifications
Xiaomi has dropped a new teaser that confirms some of the key Redmi K50 Pro specifications ahead of its official launch in China. The phone, as previously confirmed, will come with a 2K Samsung AMOLED display. It will have a WQHD resolution and support for Dolby Vision as well. In addition to this, the teaser confirms that the screen will have 526 PPI and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Like many Redmi K-series smartphones, the K50 Pro will also come with a DisplayMate A+ rating.
In addition to this, the company has confirmed that the K50 series will feature a Dimensity 9000 SoC, which is likely to be used in the Pro+ model. The K50 Pro is said to feature a Dimensity 8100 SoC, whereas the vanilla K50 could come with a Snapdragon 870 SoC.
The K50 Pro models are likely to sport a 6.67-inch display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. It will have a hole-punch cutout at the top centre for the front camera. All three devices will sport a triple-camera setup on the back. The Pro+ model will come with a 108MP main camera sensor with support for optical image stabilisation (OIS). We can expect the other two camera sensors to come with an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 5MP tele-macro camera.
Other than these specs, Xiaomi has also confirmed that the Redmi K50 series will feature WiFi 6, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, an IR blaster and dual-frequency GPS. The devices will also feature a dual speaker setup with support for Dolby Atmos and a Hi-Res audio certification. Redmi K50 series will boot Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box. The Pro+ model will come with a 5000 mAh battery and 120W fast charging out of the box.
